Stretched canvas prints comes with a black float frame, where the canvas drops into the frame. Traditional prints can be configured in a wide variety of metal and wood framing options.

We use high quality Nielsen metal frames which come in a variety of colors and profiles. There are glossy and matte finishes available.

Planetography uses three different profiles from Nielsen, with the profile depending on the size of the print. Planetography uses profile 15 for prints up to 12" x 18". Profile 25 is used for prints up to 16" x 24". For the largest prints, profile 75 is used. The Frosted Pewter metal frame is not available in profile 75, so profile 25 will be used on the largest prints.

We also offer a variety of wood frame options from a number of suppliers. Wood frames come in a number of different types of wood, finishes, and profiles. You can choose the frame style and finish.

Planetography chooses the profile size for a particular frame based on the size of the print. For each frame style, there are two or three profiles sizes that we use. Smaller prints are paired with a narrower profile, medium size prints with a medium profile, and large prints with wider profiles.

Float	Solid hardwood frames for use with stretched canvas only. Black The profile size will vary depending on the print size.
Metal	Curved face metal frame. High gloss finish available in anodic black, silver, and gold. Matte finish available in german silver, frosted bronze, frosted pewter, and matte black. Colors available are: Anodic Black German Silver Matte Black Silver Frosted Bronze Graphite Gold Froster Pewter The profile size will vary depending on the print size.
Classic	Contemporary simple styling with clean, tight grain made from Ramin wood. Available in the following finishes: Honey Maple Cherry Walnut Mahogany Black The profile size will vary depending on the print size.
Contemporary	Solid hardwood frames with a regular series of "pits" in the surface. Cherry Mahogany Walnut Each of the colors for this style has a different profile. There is only one profile size for each of the colors.
Driftwood	Solid hardwood frames with texture and finishes reminiscent of driftwood. Charcoal Grey Sienna The profile size will vary depending on the print size.
Maple	This solid maple frame has a slightly angles face, and the wood grain is readily visible. Natural Whitewash The profile size will vary depending on the print size.
Pitted	Solid hardwood frames with a regular series of "pits" in the surface. Cherry Pecan Walnut The profile size will vary depending on the print size.
